This years fall/winter 2012 New York Fashion week ended yesterday and we anxiously await the spring/summer collection in September. For those of you in New York a long with one of our stores, we hope you got to enjoy it.

As for some of colletions shown, we were very excited to see on Day 3 the Herve Ledger collection by Max Azria and Monique Lhuillier. Digging into the darker side of equestrienne... fashions, this collection mixes leather harnesses, body skimming outwear, fur, and corsets for a hot new trend. With a tasteful take on strappy buckled leather harnesses and restrictive corset belts accessorized this season’s almost Medieval flavour look. This new collection is yet more proof that while the high street groans under cheap imitations of the bandage style, this is a label that continues to hit refresh.

We have added two new colors/fabrics to the lineup for our ever popular CS-426 longline contoured underbust corset. Introducing the CS-426 Shimmering Maroon Corset.

We had this corset available for Pre-Sale and had such an amazing response that we had to re-order before we even got our first shipment. Three sizes had sold out before it even arrived!

Such a beautiful corset. We are pleased to tell you that it has only been on sale for 2 months and is already in the top 10 corset sales for this year!

The positive response we had to this beautiful Maroon corset inspired us to add yet another CS-426 Longline Contoured corset. So we did. Also introducing the CS-426 Gun Metal Gray Corset.

A beautifully dark metallic gray satin outfits this corset from top to bottom. It is high-shine and very strong and has real depth to the color. We didn't have a chance to pre-sale this corset, but it has had a similar response and is selling very well.

We are in the works for developing another 426 style but don't want more of the same, so we're trying to push the envelope a little and see what fabrics/patterns, etc will work well for us. We are excited to be unveiling the new addition in the next few weeks, so stay tuned.

Oh, hello there. We have a blog? Oops...

My other duties have left updating this blog down on the totem pole. For those of you who follow and subscribe to our feeds, I apologize for the lack of updates. The awesome news is that we have been busy despite the economic slump and we are so thankful for that. We have even expanded our corset line to include new colors, new designs and so far we have had a lot of really positive feedback. Stay tuned for new releases and hopefully more regular updates.

Our featured corsets specials are quite popular and we have two months overlapping right now. For March, we have been featuring the Regal Pleated in emerald green and the Highland red plaid underbust. Both of these corsets have been featured before during different months and both are available in other colors as well.

And we've also got April's featured corsets up and running right now. The CS-411 White Pinstripe is a beautiful and quite underrated corset. Its got enough character to attract the spotlight but can be demure in the right setting. Then we've also got the funky and fun 411 Polka Dot overbust. This corset is available in an underbust as well and is absolutely adorable. The perfect amount of curve and an abundance of flirt!

So, what do you think of OrchardCorset.com v2.0? We are pretty much in love with it over here at OC headquarters. Besides being elegant and streamlined and overall just much prettier, we have some new features too that we're digging...

Did you notice the new product layouts? It gives you all the important info right up front like price, savings, reviews and sizes available before we get all long-winded on you and give you the description.

How about that sidebar over there? Its got easy access to categories from any page on our site with no searching around, links to sizing charts and a new release notice too so you can keep up with new products we've added to our lineup.

Also, we've got quick links at the top of every page to our Shipping info, Return Policy and Shop by Brand feature that makes our policies readily available and your favorite brand easy to locate.

What you might not notice is the handy social bookmarking links that are now a part of every product description. You can "like" an item and post it directly to your Facebook profile; bookmark something you love so you can easily come back to it or share it via email, twitter, myspace or several other venues; spread the word about your favorite corset; give your significant other a hint for gift-giving purposes; or tell your friend about an item you think they'll love! All from the product page itself. No more copying and pasting.

I just wanted to let you know what a great experience I had shopping with Orchard Corset... Your review form only allows for a very short review, so I thought I'd send you the uncut one. Feel free to use any part of it with my full permission.

I purchased the brown leather underbust corset and am thrilled... This corset is made of quality leather... the sheep hide is nearly glove-soft, yet substantial. It is a darker, more neutral brown than I was expecting, not as reddish as it looks in some of the photos, but still very nice. I totally got it for the steampunk flair, and it absolutely rocks that look to great effect. It is surprisingly comfortable, a bit like a nice firm hug from a close friend.

In the looks department, I got rave reviews when I popped around town in it: one person told me I should wear it all the time, another told me the curve it created from my waist to my hip should be on an album cover... How could a girl not love that kind of response? There's no question this garment is an incredible value for the price.

I had to order by phone as the shopping cart wouldn't play nicely with my computer, and the sales associate was very polite, efficient and helpful. My order shipped the same day and arrived very quickly. To my delight, it was also nicely gift-wrapped in pretty tissue, making me feel very special when I opened it--not a discount-shopping experience at all, yet with a fabulous discount price!

With the Review & Win sweepstakes going right now, we've been getting ton of new feedback from our incredible customers. We get reviews on our products daily, but every once in a while, we'll get a hand-written or typed letter sent via the regular postal mail that makes our day. I know, I know... you've all heard about the "lost artform" of an actual letter and how the world is going to shrivel up and fall out of orbit because nobody sends actual letters anymore... But, thats not where I'm going with this.

As a techy, 99% of my communications are in a digital format. But the loveliest of lovelies is when I receive something handwritten or even typed out with an actual stamp on the outside of the envelope.

CONFESSION: I have a little bit of an obsession with handwriting, and I have been known to save notes from people (and customers) whose handwriting I adore. I have a note from a customer regarding his exchange that was sent last November because his writing was so incredibly awesome that I couldn't throw it away. I think to myself, "maybe I'll make a font someday based on his writing..." wow, I may be a little crazy.

Anyway, this was all just to say, "I got a letter and its really nice! Here, I will share it with you..."

To Whom It May Concern:

I recently bought the "Authentic Tight Lacing Premium White Leather Underbust Corset" from your website and I wanted to let you know that I'm incredibly impressed and pleased with my purchase! Not only was the corset soft and comfortable, it's durable and strong. I was amazed at how tight I could lace it. Even though I ordered the corset 6" smaller than my natural waist I was easily able to tighten the corset without breaking anything and without any help.

The instructions that came with the corset were easy to understand and very helpful, especially since I haven't owned what I would consider to be a "real" corset before. I've bought cheap corsets from other websites and they always seemed to break the first time I tightened them! I was always so disappointed to see that what I considered to be a "real" corset would run for nearly $400 on other websites. So when I saw your corsets I was shocked at the price and of course a little hesitant.

But I must say that I couldn't be happier with my order and I will most definitely be ordering from Orchard Corsets in the future! So far, we've had great success with the "Featured Corsets" monthly promotions. For January, we've got the Dynast Underbust Corset going for a mere $69 and the Black Satin w/ Champagne Accents going for $89.

But coming soon, we'll have our February Featured Corsets on sale. To give you a sneak peak, I laced up one of our OC gals earlier today and snapped a few pics. We weren't all professional on this one, I just wanted to get it on a body and show it off.

Take a look below at some of the pics we got today of this killer corset. We haven't named it yet, we've been calling it the cranberry corset or cranberry crush around the warehouse... We've got several new styles of corsets up and running on our website.

The first, a traditional chinese look with the red polyester and metallic gold embroidery. A stunning underbust corset with just the right amount of dazzle.

We also have the new Black Velvet overbust corset - is anybody else humming that Allanah Myles song with me?

Its a low-lying overbust corset made from premium black velvet fabric with a front steel busk and spiral steel boning. Back-lacing with high strength nylon laces and all metal grommets. A true beauty - one of our most versatile corsets.

We've also got this one in a deep blue and coming soon in forest green.
